At Kaplan University, Scott A. Kilgore is the Senior Vice President of Military Affairs. Since joining the University in November 2004, he has leveraged technology and analytics to scale operations in the areas of student support. Prior to his current role, Kilgore served as the Vice President of Admissions, where he increased enrollments 248 percent while improving student quality, resulting in improvements of over 950 basis points in new students starting school.
His responsibilities include overseeing the Department of Admissions, Student Care, and Resolution (first-term student experience and help desk) and departments tasked with supporting those operations.
Prior to joining Kaplan University, Kilgore spent 12 years working in all capacities of the teleservices industry, assisting Fortune 500 companies to achieve their marketing objectives.
Kilgore received his commission via ROTC as a U.S. Army officer and served in a number of command and staff positions in the Cavalry and Infantry branches. He earned his BA from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and his MBA from the University of Iowa.
