As a physician, educator, and leading executive with more than two decades of experience, Dr. Danaher's understanding of patient needs and his quest to end the shortage of qualified nursing professionals are the driving forces behind his role as the President of Kaplan University School of Nursing.

Dr. Danaher understands the importance of a quality education. He is committed to providing students with a dynamic learning environment and an innovative curriculum that addresses the competencies required by today's health care employers.

Before assuming his role as President of Kaplan University School of Nursing, Dr. John Danaher compiled a comprehensive background as a health care educator, entrepreneur, and respected physician. He served as Executive Vice President of WebMD, as well as instructor at both Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Danaher was also a co-founder of QuickCompliance, a health care elearning company, which provides a full suite of multimedia communications to hospitals, health plans, and other health care-related organizations.

Dr. Danaher holds an MBA from Stanford University as well as a medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. He completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and also has a bachelor's degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
