Gregory Marino is Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan University Group, a leader in postsecondary education that leverages technology to help adult learners achieve their educational and career goals. Greg Marino is responsible for managing the business operations for Kaplan University, a regionally accredited institution that serves more than 70,000 students with associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees, as well as law degrees through Concord Law School. He oversees an 8,000-employee team, maintaining the high-quality standards of Kaplan University's educational programs.
During his career at Kaplan University, Greg Marino helped build a unique student-focused service model and a best-in-class technology platform from the ground up. These have proven to be integral components in the unparalleled growth and success of the University's online division. He motivates his team to strive for continuous improvement and innovation, thereby creating a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment
Marino joined Kaplan, Inc., in 1993 as an intern with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, was hired as Student Advisor, and was promoted to Center Manager. After a three-year tenure at one of the largest Kaplan Test Prep centers in Long Island and Queens, NY, he rose through the ranks at Kaplan, Inc., to help build Kaplan’s online higher education division and to become Chief Operating Officer of Kaplan University, a position he held until his promotion to President in 2009, and CEO in February, 2012.
Marino holds an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and a board member of Scholarship America.
