Dr. David DeHaven has been with Kaplan University since 2007. Prior to becoming the Dean of the School of Information Systems and Technology, he had worked in the School of Business and Management as an adjunct faculty member and then an academic chair.

He has more than 20 years of information technology and business experience, having most recently served as chief technology officer of Northrop Grumman. Dr. DeHaven is a board member for several IT consulting companies, on the advisory board of the NewVa Corridor Technology Council, and the president of the Blue Ridge Professional Coaches Association in Southwest Virginia. His research interests include leadership, change management, culture, and neuroscience.
