Mr. Di Marino joined Kaplan University in 2004 as a faculty member in the School of Criminal Justice. In 2006, he received the Kaplan University Outstanding Graduate Faculty award. Between 1989 and 2007, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Miami, FL, and Savannah, GA, prosecuting drug conspiracies, mail, wire, and tax fraud offenses, environmental cases, and money laundering crimes. Besides having tried more than 200 jury trials, he has argued criminal appeals before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. As an Army officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps between 1978 and 1995, he served as a prosecutor and chief of criminal law. He has taught as an adjunct instructor at several universities since 1978 and presented papers with other MSCJ faculty at conferences.

 

As the Dean of the School of Criminal Justice, Mr. DiMarino is committed to excellence in education, student success, and opportunities for career advancement for criminal justice students. He has managed the design of courses so that students can study the criminal justice field in a practical, relevant and interactive way so that they develop the skills to succeed early. Advanced courses challenge students to think critically, ethically, and proactively so that they can contribute to their agencies and develop best practices as criminal justice professionals. Mr. DiMarino leads an inspired faculty who are not only experts in criminal justice but also have successfully helped thousands of students address their talents and leverage their strengths.
